National Operations Support Manager

Salary: £14.50 per hour

Location: Head Office, Sandwell, B69 1PY (mobile response across contracted sites)

Working pattern: Part time, 24 hours per week plus overtime. Out-of-hours, mobile role

About the role

GMS Security Services Ltd is looking for an experienced security professional to lead our out-of-hours operations. Working from a company vehicle, you will be the first point of contact for operational issues from the close of the office day until the next morning, supporting officers and clients across our contracted sites.

What you will be doing

Handle out-of-hours escalations from officers, clients and stakeholders

Arrange emergency cover for missed shifts, lateness and sickness

Manage incidents through to resolution

Attend client sites for alarm activations and keyholding call-outs

Support officer welfare and maintain professional standards

Respond to client concerns and complaints

Follow lone-working and health and safety procedures, including dynamic risk assessments

Keep accurate incident records and give a full handover to the day Operations Team

What you will bring

Proven experience in manned guarding or the wider security industry

Strong understanding of security operations

Experience managing incidents, escalations and difficult situations

A calm, decisive approach and the ability to work independently under pressure

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Full UK driving licence

Flexibility for mobile, out-of-hours working

Desirable

Mobile response, keyholding or alarm response experience

Out-of-hours operations or emergency staffing coordination experience

Experience with electronic patrol systems, tagging and incident-reporting software
