Our client, based in West Oxfordshire, is seeking a proactive and highly organised Business Development professional with a STEM background to identify new opportunities, build strong relationships and drive business growth. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will develop new leads, manage key accounts and contribute to the organisation's continued growth. While previous sales or business development experience would be advantageous, our client is also keen to hear from candidates with coding or technical experience who are confident communicating with people and interested in developing their career in business development. Key Responsibilities Research and develop new business leads and opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners. Manage accounts and deliver against sales targets. Coordinate demonstrations, presentations and events. Monitor performance, report on progress and identify growth opportunities. About You A STEM background gained through education or professional experience. Ideally, at least two years' sales or business development experience, although candidates without previous BD experience will also be considered providing you have coding experience. Coding or technical experience, coupled with the confidence and ability to communicate effectively with people. Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities. A target-driven approach, with initiative and attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team. A technical or quantitative degree, coding experience, knowledge of software or digital content production, computational thinking, or user experience and design would be advantageous. Candidates with a coding or technical background who are confident speaking with people and keen to move into a business development role are particularly encouraged to apply, even if they have no previous BD experience.
