Senior Quantity Surveyor – Fit Out Hackney, London | Freelance | 12–18 Months | Excellent Day Rate We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a long-term freelance opportunity with an established SME Main Contractor. You will be commercially responsible for a £5.5m fit-out project in Hackney, with the position expected to run for approximately 12–18 months. This is a site-based role and attendance in Hackney is required five days per week. The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take a leading commercial role on the project, working closely with the site and management teams to ensure the scheme is delivered successfully and commercially. Responsibilities will include subcontractor procurement and management, valuations, variations, cost reporting, forecasting, payments and managing the project through to final account. About You We are looking for someone who: * Has strong experience delivering fit-out projects * Has previously worked as a Senior Quantity Surveyor * Ideally has experience working for an SME Main Contractor * Understands the pace, demands and hands-on nature of working within a smaller contractor * Is commercially astute and comfortable taking ownership of a project * Is able to work on site in Hackney five days per week * Is looking for a stable, long-term freelance assignment This is an excellent opportunity offering 12–18 months of work, with a competitive day rate available for the right individual.
