Are you good with people, quick to learn and keen to help customers? We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a Consumer Care Executive to support customers across their well-known consumer brands.

This is a junior opportunity for someone with previous customer service experience who enjoys solving problems and making sure people receive a helpful, personal response. You’ll join a busy team, handling enquiries and complaints and keeping customers informed from first contact through to resolution.

The role

Working closely with the Consumer Care team and colleagues across marketing, quality, supply chain and online retail, you will:

  • Respond to day-to-day consumer enquiries in a clear, friendly and empathetic way.
  • Gather complaint details and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Follow up outstanding actions to ensure enquiries are resolved promptly.
  • Handle routine cases independently within agreed guidance.
  • Recognise and promptly escalate sensitive complaints, complex cases and potential product safety concerns.
  • Liaise with colleagues and external support partners where needed.
  • Arrange and send product samples.
  • Highlight recurring queries and opportunities to improve customer responses.
  • Help provide cover during team holidays.

You’ll be switching between different brands and systems, so being organised and comfortable managing several enquiries at once will be important. Your work will help improve response times, reduce outstanding queries and increase customer satisfaction.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is calm, approachable and service-driven, with:

  • Previous experience handling customer enquiries and complaints.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to adapt your communication to different customers and brands.
  • Good organisational skills and a reliable approach to following things through.
  • Strong attention to detail when recording information.
  • The confidence to use your judgement and ask for support when needed.
  • Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • An understanding of confidentiality and the responsible handling of personal information.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn.

Experience using Gorgias, Zoho or Shopify would be helpful, but training will be provided. Experience in food, online retail or subscription services would also be useful, although it is not essential.

Working arrangements

Initial training will take place in person in Bournemouth so you can get to know the systems, brands and team. Once training is complete, hybrid working is available, although some ongoing office attendance would be beneficial.

Benefits:

  • On-site parking
