We're recruiting a CNC Machinist on behalf of an established subcontract machining business supplying the aerospace, oil & gas and defence sectors. With continued growth driving recruitment, this is an opportunity to secure stable, long-term employment working to demanding engineering standards.

The role
As a CNC Machinist, you'll turn technical drawings into high-quality components, taking responsibility for:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Working with 3, 4 and 5-axis machining.
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances.
• Reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carrying out basic inspection and quality checks.
• Keeping your working area safe and organised.

What you'll bring
To succeed as a CNC Machinist, you'll need:

• A time-served engineering background and relevant qualifications.
• Proven CNC programming, setting and operating experience.
• Experience with 3, 4 and 5-axis machining.
• Strong knowledge of CNC controls, including FANUC, MAZAK and HEIDENHAIN.
• Excellent attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.
• The ability to work independently and contribute to a team.

Experience in aerospace, oil & gas, defence or similarly demanding industries would be advantageous.
