Project Coordinator | Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth | £28,000-£36,000 (Salary dependent on experience)
Are you just starting your career and looking for a launchpad into project management?
Or perhaps an experienced coordinator ready for a new challenge?
Who Are We?
Primus is a trusted engineering and management consultancy delivering expertise across the full project lifecycle. Backed by significant investment and the strength of four specialist businesses, we work across the construction and data centre sectors.
The Opportunity
Working at the heart of a growing and ambitious project delivery consultancy, you will join Primus at a pivotal moment in its development, supporting the build-out of our governance framework, digital infrastructure and project delivery capability. You will support our directors by taking away administrative burdens, allowing them to be more strategic.
This is not a traditional admin role. From day one, you will be working alongside senior project professionals, learning how governance-led delivery works in practice and building the skills and experience needed to progress into a project management or PMO career.
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, naturally organised, digitally confident and genuinely interested in how projects work. In return, we will invest in your development and provide a clear pathway into project management as the business grows.
No formal project qualification? No problem, we’ll support in achieving these.
What's In It For You?
· Highly attractive package
· Investment in your career development. You will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Project Controls Professional qualification.
· Varied career progression opportunities
· A long-term pathway with future equity/ownership potential
· Quarterly incentives and events (including trips to Alicante, Barcelona and Goodwood)
· Additional loyalty leave each year
· Exclusive discounts across Gunwharf Quays
· Free parking
What Will I Do in the Role?
· Project coordination and controls support, including maintaining RAID logs, managing project channels, tracking actions and decisions, and supporting project progression
· Support the preparation of bids and commercial administration, including formatting bids, tracking submission deadlines, gathering information and carrying out quality checks
· Support the onboarding of suppliers and chase suppliers for required documentation
· Coordinate meetings, manage inboxes, provide document support and assist with financial administration
What Do I Need to Have?
· Project exposure of any kind. Any project-related experience, including administrative support, will be considered. Experience in a consultancy environment is desirable.
· PRINCE2, APM or another relevant qualification is desirable.
· Strong organisational skills, good communication skills, digital competence, initiative, a collaborative approach and a willingness to learn.
