Business Travel Consultant - Dedicated Client Account

Location: Central London implant, with the option to work from home, hybrid or fully office based
Job type: Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours a week on a shift rota

At Rockpool, we are delighted to be working with a long-established international travel management company. They are looking for a Business Travel Consultant to join a settled implant team of six, plus a manager, all looking after one client: a professional services firm in central London.

If you enjoy getting to know your travellers properly, rather than juggling lots of accounts, this is a lovely set-up where you will quickly become someone the firm relies on.

What will I be doing?

• Booking flights, rail, hotels, car hire and ferries for the firm's travellers, in the UK and overseas
• Finding the best value option for each trip, within the firm's travel rules
• Suggesting smarter alternatives, such as a different airport, a rail route or a better fare
• Advising on passports, visas and entry requirements
• Issuing tickets and handling exchanges, refunds and changes yourself
• Working closely with the firm's Travel Manager on policy and escalations

What experience do I need?

• Previous experience as a Business Travel Consultant or in a corporate travel role
• Confidence booking air, rail and hotels, including multi-leg international trips
• Experience issuing tickets and processing exchanges
• Great attention to detail and a calm, organised approach when things get busy
• A warm, professional manner on the phone and by email

What else do I need to know?

• The team covers 7.30am to 7.30pm, with 7.5 hour shifts on a rotation
• Work from home, hybrid or in the central London office, whichever suits you best
• Full training alongside the team
• Quarterly team incentive from day one, plus an annual bonus and yearly salary review
• 25 days' annual leave
