Our client is seeking a qualified Internal Auditor to join its Group Internal Audit function on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong view of going permanent. The role offers the opportunity to deliver a varied risk-based audit plan across multiple business units, providing significant exposure to both operational and corporate environments.

The Internal Audit team is highly regarded within the organisation and plays a key role in driving continuous improvement and supporting strategic decision-making.

Description

• Deliver risk-based financial and operational audits across multiple UK locations.
• Assess the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Validate Internal Control Self-Assessment activity and challenge control effectiveness where appropriate.
• Prepare and present clear audit reports, identifying root causes and practical recommendations.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across a wide range of business functions.
• Monitor the implementation of agreed actions and support ongoing business improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Internal Audit function.

Profile

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIA or CIMA).
• Experience gained within internal audit, external audit or a related assurance environment.
• Proven ability to plan, execute and report on risk-based audits from inception through to completion.
• Strong understanding of financial, operational and compliance controls.
• Experience working within complex, multi-site organisations, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG or operationally focused environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to assess complex data and identify meaningful insights.
• Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
