Primary School Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90-£105
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school team.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support a widse range of pupils in their learning, development and wellbeing. You will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued and able to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers with classroom activities and day to day learning.
• Provide one to one and small group support to SEN pupils.
• Help children develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
• Assist with preparing classroom resources and activities.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage a love of learning.
• Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes and school activities.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about working with children aged 4-11.
• Patient, caring and approachable.
• Enthusiastic and able to inspire and encourage pupils.
• A strong communicator and team player.
• Reliable, organised and adaptable.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable, but we welcome applications from enthusiastic candidates who are keen to develop their skills.
