Afternoon Receptionist – Part-Time
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Pay Rate: £13.58 per hour
Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 1pm–7pm

About the Role
Our client is looking for a reliable, professional and approachable Afternoon Receptionist to join their team in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who enjoys working in a busy reception environment and providing excellent customer service.
As the first point of contact for visitors, staff and contractors, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of reception while supporting the wider administration team.
Key Responsibilities
As the Afternoon Receptionist, you will be responsible for being the first point of contact for all visiting staff, clients and contractors, ensuring a professional and welcoming reception service. Your duties will include answering incoming telephone calls and team messages, booking taxis, arranging courier deliveries and supporting the administration team with day-to-day tasks. You will also manage access cards through a third-party system, handle stationery requests, conduct HSE inductions and assist with fire drills and health and safety procedures. In addition, you will liaise with contractors during their visits and ensure works are signed off in line with the relevant procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will be reliable, organised and confident communicating with people at all levels. You will be comfortable managing a variety of tasks, prioritising requests and maintaining a professional and welcoming reception environment.
Previous reception or administrative experience would be advantageous. A proactive approach, good attention to detail and the ability to work independently are also important for this role.
