Your new company
An established and growing multi-site organisation is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a hands-on position offering responsibility across management accounts, balance sheet control, reporting and business partnering with operational stakeholders.

Your new role
As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the end-to-end management accounting process across multiple legal entities. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Providing variance analysis against budget and prior year, with clear commentary on performance
• Preparing and posting month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, payroll, stock and overheads
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations including bank, debtors, creditors, payroll, stock and intercompany accounts
• Reconciling sales between finance and operational systems
• Reviewing and approving weekly payment runs
• Producing weekly sales, labour, cash and operational reports
• Reviewing overhead expenditure with senior operational stakeholders
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Reviewing payroll reports and preparing associated journals and accruals
• Supporting the Finance Manager with financial analysis and the annual audit
• Building strong relationships with store and operational teams

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a part-qualified or finalist ACCA/CIMA accountant with previous experience producing management accounts and maintaining strong balance sheet controls.You will also have:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience using Sage 200
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive, self-motivated and team-focused approach
