Are you a part-qualified accountant actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA and looking to further develop your experience within an international finance environment? We're recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a well-established finance team supporting operations across Europe and the Middle East. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers excellent exposure to financial reporting, statutory accounting, compliance and month-end processes within a global business. The Role Reporting to the Financial Accountant, responsibilities will include: Assisting with month-end and quarter-end close activities Preparing and posting journals Producing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies Preparing fee and intercompany reconciliations Supporting intercompany invoicing and settlements Assisting with monthly reporting packs for local accountants Supporting VAT returns and wider compliance reporting Assisting with statutory accounts and audit processes Liaising with external advisors, auditors and internal stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions Supporting finance projects and process improvementsAbout You To be considered, you will ideally have: Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA status Be actively studying towards your qualification (essential) 3-5 years' finance experience within industry Experience supporting month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Experience within a multi-site or international business would be advantageous Be immediately available or able to start within a short notice periodWhat's on Offer? ✅ £32,000 - £36,000 salary depending on experience ✅ Hybrid working arrangement ✅ Study support package ✅ Exposure to international accounting and reporting activities ✅ Collaborative and supportive finance team ✅ Excellent opportunity to broaden your technical accounting experience Please note: due to the immediate requirement of the business, priority will be given to candidates who are available to start immediately or within a short notice period
