The Role

As an Art Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan, prepare and assess student work to support progress and attainment
• Encourage creativity and experimentation through a variety of artistic techniques and mediums
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Support students in developing their artistic skills, confidence and appreciation for the arts
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and Art department

The Ideal Candidate

The school would ideally like to appoint a teacher who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). However, they are also keen to hear from candidates who may not hold QTS but have significant UK secondary Art teaching experience and a strong track record of delivering high-quality lessons and positive student outcomes.

You will have:

• Experience teaching Art within UK secondary schools
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A passion for Art and creative education
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire students of all abilities
