About the Role

HW Finance are recruiting for a well regarded business in Hull to hire a Finance Assistant.

You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts and supporting timely financial reporting, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices, payments and receipts accurately and efficiently.
• Carry out regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments and outstanding customer balances.
• Post client receipts, process direct debits, respond to client queries and produce consolidated invoices.
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with financial reporting, including aged payables, and support audit requirements.
• Manage finance correspondence and shared inboxes, providing general administrative support.
• Work collaboratively with the finance team and uphold the company's core values.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a similar finance role, such as Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator.
• Experience processing invoices, payments and account reconciliations.
• Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This role is based full time on site initially and offers a salary of £25-30k depending on experience + a competitive benefits package and free parking.
