Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team. This is intially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate

You will

Deliver high quality financial management services across the Council including financial advice and financial policy development ensuring that resources are effectively deployed to deliver priority services in line with a sustainable business strategy.

Provide business intelligence and, in collaboration with the service, to ensure effective financial management and sound financial decision making thus ensuring that resources are effectively deployed to deliver priority services in line with a sustainable business strategy.

Manage and motivate a team of finance staff in the delivery of financial support services.

Lead the Council’s Capital Programme development ensuring robust financial appraisals

high quality financial management service to Services including as a core service:

(i) budget preparation

(ii) financial advice

(iii) budget monitoring

(iv) closure of accounts.
