The Company

A technical production company delivering corporate events directly to a long-standing blue-chip client base, with all disciplines under one roof: staging, lighting, video, print, scenic, virtual production and metal fabrication. The equipment is owned, not hired, and held on-site in the East Midlands. For an Event Warehouse & Technical Operations Manager, the resource and infrastructure here are genuinely hard to match.

The Role

As Event Warehouse & Technical Operations Manager you will lead a small warehouse team through the full prep-to-return cycle for around 20 outgoing jobs a week, working closely with project managers and transport colleagues to keep every job ready, complete and on time.

- Set daily priorities and plan staffing around upcoming jobs and returns

- Oversee equipment preparation, testing, packing, de-prep and returns

- Maintain accurate stock records and job allocations in Current RMS

- Coordinate loading, dispatch, supplier deliveries and hired-in equipment returns

- Identify and quarantine faulty kit and manage maintenance and repair

- Keep warehouse and storage areas organised with safe working practices throughout

- Train and develop junior colleagues and apprentices

- Manage consumables and control avoidable costs

The Candidate

You will have hands-on AV industry experience covering audio, video, lighting, control, power and cabling, alongside a solid track record leading a warehouse or technical team. The right Event Warehouse & Technical Operations Manager is practical and organised, communicates clearly and stays calm when priorities shift.

Confidence with inventory or rental management systems is important; familiarity with Current RMS is beneficial but not essential. Candidates from adjacent technical operations backgrounds who can demonstrate the same depth of equipment knowledge and team leadership are equally welcome.

In return you get a salary of £50,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, a bonus scheme, full benefits and genuine ownership of a well-resourced operation on a Monday-to-Friday pattern.
