FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established construction business with the recruitment of a Health & Safety Manager.

Permanent, full-time position based in Luton, with some travel to other sites as required.

Salary

£40,000 – £60,000 depending on experience + additional benefits

This is a hands-on Health & Safety role supporting a major construction project, with responsibility for site compliance, risk management, incident investigation and maintaining a strong safety culture across the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor health & safety policies and procedures.
• Carry out regular site inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Complete risk assessments and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Lead accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis.
• Produce detailed reports covering inspections, investigations and compliance.
• Deliver health & safety training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions.
• Support emergency response planning and first aid preparedness.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and construction industry standards.
• Provide guidance and support to site teams on health & safety matters.
• Work closely with senior management and project teams to improve safety performance.
• Promote a proactive and positive health & safety culture across the site.
• Maintain accurate compliance documentation and safety records.

Skills & Experience Requirements

• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Manager, Health & Safety Advisor or similar.
• Construction industry experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and construction standards.
• Experience carrying out site inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis.
• Confident delivering training and communicating safety requirements to teams.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management ability.
• Relevant health & safety qualifications would be highly advantageous.
• First Aid certification is required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced site-based environment.
