Head of Trades & Labour – Civil Engineering SOS Group | North of England (covering the North of the UK) | Competitive basic + uncapped commission + equity and directorship for the right person We’re heading into our third year of business, after a very strong second year. We’ve built our name by supplying the best Project Managers, Site Agents, Engineers and supervisory staff in Civil Engineering. Our clients keep asking us one question: “Can you supply the trades and labour too?” We’re looking for someone with a strong, loyal network of trades and labour. You’ll put those people onto the sites of clients we already work with, then grow the division well beyond them. The opportunity You’ll have a head start most people never get. Our founders have spent their careers building relationships with Tier 1 contractors, regional contractors and specialist sub-contractors. You’ll be introduced to those clients from day one. Turning those introductions into a growing headcount, and winning new clients on top, is down to you. Most of our contracts run for 12 months or more. That lets you build a large, stable headcount with recurring revenue. For the right person, we’re offering equity and a directorship. You’ll own and grow your own division, starting across the North of the UK, with the backing to expand nationally. What you’ll be doing * Bringing your network of trades and operatives to our existing clients * Launching and leading our Trades & Labour division in Civil Engineering * Winning new clients and opening up new sites and regions through business development * Growing your candidate pool, including groundworkers, pipelayers, plant operators, steel fixers, formworkers, banksmen and general operatives * Setting up compliance and onboarding for the division, including CSCS/CPCS/NPORS checks, right to work and payroll * Hiring and developing your own team as the division grows What we’re looking for * An established network of trades and labour candidates in Civil Engineering who will follow you * Proven experience supplying trades and labour to Civil Engineering or Construction sites * Strong business development skills and a track record of winning and growing accounts * Experience building and keeping a contractor headcount * An entrepreneurial mindset: you want to build something, not just run a desk * A commitment to quality that matches our reputation for supplying the best people in the industry What’s on offer * Equity and a directorship for the right candidate * Competitive basic salary plus uncapped commission * Warm introductions to an established client base from day one * Long-term contracts that support stable, recurring revenue * Full autonomy to shape and lead your own division * The backing of a fast-growing business with a strong name in Civil Engineering Interested?
