The Opportunity

This is a significant opportunity for an established Financial Planner to inherit a substantial portfolio of existing clients, supported by an experienced administration and operational team.

With a strong client bank already in place, you will have the opportunity to focus on delivering high-quality financial planning, developing client relationships, and identifying opportunities to generate additional business.

Our client is not simply looking for someone to maintain an existing portfolio. They are seeking a commercially minded individual with a proven ability to identify client needs, convert opportunities into completed business and contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of the firm.

The Role

As Financial Planner, you will take ownership of your client relationships and portfolio, delivering high-quality, compliant financial advice while actively developing the commercial opportunities within the existing client bank.

You will lead client conversations and regular reviews, identify wider financial planning requirements, generate referrals and convert opportunities into measurable business growth.

This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise, relationship management and commercial success within a supportive and ambitious financial planning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for an established client bank with substantial assets under management.

  • Work closely with the administration and operational teams to ensure an efficient and professional service.
  • Contribute positively to the firm's continued development and commercial success.

About You

Our client is seeking an established Financial Planner with a strong technical background, excellent relationship management skills and a proven ability to generate business.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of five years' experience providing regulated financial advice within core wealth and financial planning, rather than solely mortgage advice.
  • Proven track record of business generation, with clear evidence of converting opportunities into completed business.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to maximise opportunities within an existing client bank.
  • Excellent technical knowledge across pensions, investments, retirement planning and wider wealth management.
  • Confidence leading client conversations, identifying additional needs and generating referrals.
  • Experience using cashflow modelling and financial planning technology.
  • Strong relationship management, communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, commercially focused approach with a commitment to delivering excellent client outcomes.

Qualifications

Chartered Financial Planner status would be advantageous, or a commitment to working towards Chartered status.

Your ability to demonstrate commercial success, business conversion and revenue generation will be a key consideration in the selection process.

Salary & Benefits

Our client is offering a highly competitive package designed to attract an experienced and successful Financial Planner, including:

  • Basic salary of up to £85,000, reflecting experience, capability and proven track record.

  • AXA private medical insurance.
  • An established client bank with substantial assets under management from day one.
  • Dedicated administrative and operational support.
  • Access to the resources and infrastructure of a leading UK independent financial advice business.
  • Ongoing professional development and long-term career opportunities.
