Earthworks Supervisor

Location: Ipswich IP164EW
Pay: £27.81 PAYE

Overtime rate after 39 hours

Hours: 7:00am-18:00 12 days on 2 days off every other weekend off

Fortel is looking for an experienced Earthworks Supervisor. This is an all-round supervisory role, involving hands-on oversight of structures, earthworks, and general construction operations, with flexibility to cover additional areas when team members are on leave.

Key Duties

• Supervise day-to-day civils activities including structures, earthworks, drainage, and general construction tasks
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, and materials to ensure works progress safely and efficiently
• Support the delivery of planned works in line with programme requirements
• Assist with daily briefings, task allocations, and on-site coordination
• Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to specifications
• Maintain communication with site management, engineers, and other supervisors
• Provide cover across multiple work fronts when team members are absent

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong all-round civils background: structures, earthworks, and general construction operations
• Valid Gold or Black CSCS
• SSSTS
• Up-to-date CV
