Are you a creative Designer who enjoys bringing campaigns to life across print and digital?
NJR Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established retail business for an experienced Designer to join its Design Team.
This is a varied, hands-on opportunity covering printed catalogues, digital marketing assets, promotional materials and product photography. You’ll take ownership of projects from initial concept through to final artwork, combining creative flair with the accuracy and organisation needed to deliver successful campaigns.
The Role
Reporting to the Design Manager, you’ll work closely with colleagues across Design, Marketing, Buying & Merchandising and Print. Responsibilities will include:
- Creating engaging concepts, graphics and layouts for catalogues, marketing campaigns and digital channels.
- Developing designs that reflect the brand’s identity and communicate effectively with its customers.
- Managing assigned projects from brief through to final delivery, keeping stakeholders updated throughout.
- Preparing accurate, print-ready artwork and correctly formatted digital assets.
- Checking artwork and repro proofs, coordinating approvals and implementing amendments.
- Managing multiple briefs and deadlines while maintaining consistently high standards.
- Taking still-life product photographs and supporting the planning and coordination of product and fashion shoots.
- Maintaining image libraries and liaising with external partners on image quality, cutting paths and technical specifications.
- Contributing fresh ideas and practical solutions within a collaborative creative team.
About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, commercially aware Designer who takes pride in both creative execution and the finer details. You will bring:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a design role, ideally within retail, marketing or a busy commercial environment.
- Strong creative and layout skills across print and digital materials.
- Good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, artwork preparation, print production and repro proofing.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- An understanding of photography, image management and digital asset requirements.
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with internal teams and external suppliers.
- A proactive, flexible approach, with the ability to work independently, respond positively to feedback and contribute to the wider team.
