Quality Engineer Location: Gloucester Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Permanent A growing advanced manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to support its expanding operations in Gloucester. The company is at an exciting stage of development, with significant investment in new manufacturing technologies and facilities, supplying customers across the aerospace, defence and automotive sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and improving manufacturing processes. The role will involve: * Supporting and developing quality management systems to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. * Managing non-conformances, root cause investigations and corrective actions. * Supporting FAIR, ISIR and product approval activities. * Conducting internal audits and supporting customer audits. * Working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. * Using quality tools including 8D, 5 Why, FMEA and SPC. * Supporting supplier quality and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate will have: * Previous Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment. * A good understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards. * Experience of root cause analysis and corrective action processes. * The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * A practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills. Experience within aerospace, automotive, precision engineering or composites manufacturing would be advantageous, although not essential.
