Finance Manager

Location: Aldershot, Hampshire

Salary: £50,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for a varied, hands-on role where you can take ownership of a company's financial operations?

Our client is a well-established business consultancy with decades of experience, operating nationwide from its offices in Aldershot.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the company's day-to-day finances, manage cash flow and provide financial information to support business planning and decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role within a smaller business and is comfortable working closely with decision makers.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial records using Xero.
• Preparing weekly and monthly cash-flow forecasts.
• Producing management reports, budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitoring expenditure, project costs and profitability.
• Managing monthly payroll, pensions, PAYE and CIS deductions.
• Liaising with external accountants regarding management and year-end accounts.
• Overseeing financial compliance and relationships with banks and finance providers.
• Supporting the Directors with business planning and general office management.

About You

• Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Accounts Manager or similar.
• Previous finance experience within facilities management, commercial fit-outs, office refurbishment, property maintenance, HVAC, building engineering or a related project-based business would be particularly advantageous.
• Strong working knowledge of Xero.
• A practical, hands-on approach and the confidence to work independently.
• Company pension and company events.
• A varied, responsible role working directly with the business owners.
