The Ideal Candidate * Proven experience as a Section Engineer, Site Engineer or in a similar civil engineering role. * A strong background in civil engineering and construction, ideally within major infrastructure projects. * Experience working for a Tier One contractor or on complex construction projects would be highly advantageous. * Previous experience within the power, nuclear, energy or other highly regulated sectors would be beneficial. * Competent in setting out, surveying, interpreting technical drawings and managing engineering controls on site. * Good understanding of construction methods, specifications, quality assurance and inspection processes. * Knowledge of relevant UK health and safety legislation and safe systems of work. * Experience coordinating subcontractors and working collaboratively with site management and multidisciplinary teams. * Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a demanding site environment. * Excellent communication skills and the confidence to raise technical issues and coordinate solutions. * A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. * Familiarity with surveying equipment, digital engineering tools and standard construction software. * A proactive approach to safety, quality and technical compliance. * The ability to work effectively within a project team and take ownership of engineering activities
