We are recruiting an experienced HR Business Partner within ER and change management to join an established, stable team of 6 providing in-house HR support to approximately 1,500 colleagues across several UK locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships with managers and colleagues, managing complex employee relations matters and delivering practical people solutions in a busy, evolving organisation.

This role is predominately office based 4 days, with 1 day working on a rota basis. Full time 37.5 hour working week 9am until 5.30pm

Role and responsibilities
  • Acting as a trusted HR Business Partner to managers and colleagues across UK locations, providing practical advice, coaching and constructive challenge.
  • Manage a varied and often complex employee relations caseload, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, capability, performance and employment tribunal-related matters, helping to manage business risk.
  • Support organisational change programmes, including restructuring, redundancy consultation and TUPE transfers, with a focus on effective communication and colleague integration.
  • Guide and influence managers on employment law, policies and good people-management practices, promoting fairness and consistency in decision-making.
  • Lead or contribute to people projects and initiatives that improve organisational performance, colleague experience, engagement, culture and morale.
  • Analyse data and draw conclusions making recommendations to increase colleague engagement to aid the people strategy.
  • Monitor and review compensation and benefits guidelines and exceptions.
  • Work collaboratively with the team of six and stakeholders across the business to deliver a responsive, professional and consistent HR service.
  • Support managers through complex decisions, considering commercial needs alongside employee wellbeing, legal obligations and organisational values.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines, responding appropriately to urgent and sensitive matters.
Required qualifications and skills
  • Significant experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, HR Generalist or Employee Relations Advisor role, ideally supporting a multi-site workforce.
  • Strong UK employment law knowledge including upcoming legislation changes
  • Proven track record of managing complex, high-volume employee relations casework, particularly TUPE and redundancy following acquisitions
  • Experience of leading or supporting organisational change and delivering effective HR projects.
  • Ability to build credible relationships, influence and coach managers at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and work to tight deadlines.
  • High levels of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Collaborative, approachable and committed to providing an excellent service to internal stakeholders.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above is essential.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to other UK locations when required.
