Position: School Facilities Manager * Location: Tower Halmlets * Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm * Contract: Temp to Perm * Start Date: ASAP * Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role We are seeking a reliable and hardworking School Facilities Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, clean, and well maintained at all times. Purpose: To oversee the maintenance, security, health & safety, and day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for staff, pupils, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the school buildings and grounds. * Carry out and coordinate repairs, refurbishments, and planned maintenance. * Act as the school's keyholder and oversee site security. * Conduct regular site inspections and ensure health & safety compliance. * Manage fire safety procedures, including alarm testing and fire drills. * Supervise contractors and facilities staff. * Respond to site emergencies, alarm activations, and adverse weather conditions. * Ensure grounds, car parks, and external areas are safe, clean, and secure. Essential Requirements * Previous experience working as a Caretaker within a school environment. * A valid Enhanced DBS certificate. * Basic maintenance and repair skills. * Good understanding of health and safety practices. * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. * Reliable, punctual, and professional approach
