HGV Technician Location: Barnsley Salary: £46,467 – £54,500 per annum Shift: Monday to Friday | Rotating shifts Monday to Friday – 7:00am – 3:30pm / Monday to Friday – 12:00pm – 8:30pm 1 in 3 Saturday mornings | Overtime available at 1.5x We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join the team in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday role, excellent earning potential and the opportunity to work on a varied fleet of trailers, units and plant within a fleet environment. What We Offer £46,467 – £54,500 per annum Monday to Friday working pattern 1 in 3 Saturday mornings Overtime available at 1.5x 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays Stable and varied HGV technician role Opportunity to work on a diverse range of trailers, units and plant The Role As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of a varied fleet of commercial vehicles and equipment. You'll have the opportunity to work across HGV units, trailers and plant Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HGVs, trailers and plant Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults Carrying out routine servicing and inspections Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard Carrying out safety inspections and defect rectification Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults Working on braking, suspension, steering and other vehicle systems Carrying out maintenance and repairs on a varied fleet of trailers and units Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements Completing relevant maintenance and inspection documentation accurately About You Has previous experience working on HGVs, commercial vehicles, trailers or plant Has strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship Can work independently and as part of a team Is reliable, professional and safety-conscious Interested?
