We are currently seeking an experienced People Operations Assistant to join a busy and supportive People Operations team on a 6-month fixed term assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering an outstanding employee experience.

Key Details:

• Location: Pitsea, Essex (Hybrid Working)
• Working Pattern: 35 hours per week | Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
• Office Attendance: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday | Home Working: Tuesday & Friday
• Contract: Temporary (6 Months)
• Start Date: ASAP Preferred

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality administrative support to the People Operations team.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all HR documentation is processed promptly and correctly.
• Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes and offboarding activities.
• Prepare employment-related documentation and correspondence.
• Respond to HR queries from employees and managers, providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance when handling sensitive employee information.
• Update and maintain HR systems and employee data records.
• Support the coordination of HR processes, policies and procedures.
• Assist with compliance checks and record management.
• Contribute to the smooth running of a busy People Operations function.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience within an HR Assistant, HR Administrator, HR Coordinator or People Operations support role.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
• Good working knowledge of HR processes and employment documentation.
• Experience maintaining employee records and supporting employee lifecycle activities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive and professional approach to work.
• Available to start at short notice or immediately preferred.

This is a 6-month assignment, and we are looking for someone who can commit to the full duration of the contract, providing continuity and support to the wider People Operations team.
