HGV CLASS 1 NIGHT DRIVER – NEWPORT PAGNELL – IMMEDIATE START-

SELF EMPLOYED ONLY

Seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver for regular work based from our yard in Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes.

This role requires someone dependable who will treat the vehicle responsibly, follow drivers’ hours and tachograph rules, complete proper vehicle checks and report any problems immediately.

Working details:

• Working nights: Monday to Friday
• Approximate start time: 8Pm start
• Average shift length: 7-8 Hours
• Pay: £170 per nightshift
• Weekly Pay
• Work type: Regular Class 1 night trunking , including depot-to-depot runs and trailer collections/swaps.
• Immediate start available- SELF EMPLOYED

Main responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 1 articulated HGV during night shifts
• Complete and record daily vehicle walkaround checks
• Report all defects, damage and delays immediately when safe
• Follow drivers’ hours, working-time and tachograph regulations
• Complete delivery notes and other required paperwork accurately
• Communicate clearly with the transport team
• Keep the vehicle secure, clean and in good condition
• Complete collections and deliveries safely and on time

Requirements:

• Valid UK Category C+E/Class 1 licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card
• Valid digital tachograph card
• Recent Class 1 driving experience
• Previous night-driving experience preferred
• Tipper, aggregate or quarry experience and MPQC card - Preferred
• All penalty points, accidents and claims must be disclosed
• Reliable, professional and able to communicate properly
