This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer with forklift, materials handling or similar mechanical engineering experience to work on a range of modern forklift equipment, with access to manufacturer training, technical support and experienced colleagues. As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on customer machinery, ensuring equipment is operating safely and reliably. Salary of up to £42,000 per annum Company vehicle provided Manufacturer training and ongoing technical support 32 days' annual leave including bank holidays Company sick pay scheme and workplace pension Life assurance worth twice your salary Staff discounts Wellbeing support and winter flu jab service Genuine opportunities for career development Key Responsibilities As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will: Travel to customer sites across Manchester and the surrounding areas Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults Use laptop-based diagnostic systems to identify and resolve faults Complete planned maintenance, breakdowns and inspections Complete chargeable, warranty and internal repairs to a high standard Maintain accurate service records and job sheets Provide professional technical support and excellent customer service Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures Participate in weekend cover and additional hours on a rota What we're looking for We're looking for someone with: Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer, Agricultural Engineer or similar Strong mechanical fault-finding skills Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems Experience servicing and repairing forklift trucks or similar materials handling equipment Good diagnostic and problem-solving abilities A proactive approach and the ability to work independently Excellent communication and customer service skills A full UK driving licence The ability to manage a busy workload and respond effectively to customer requirementsIf you're an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer looking for your next opportunity in Manchester, this is a great chance to join an established business, develop your technical skills through manufacturer training and work with a range of modern forklift equipment.
