Due to continued growth, a respected accountancy practice in Chelmsford is seeking an Audit Senior to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified, individual looking to further develop their technical expertise while working closely with a diverse range of clients.

The Role

As an Audit Senior, you will lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, working with businesses across a variety of sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading audits for a portfolio of clients, including limited companies, charities and owner-managed businesses
• Planning, supervising and completing audit assignments
• Preparing and reviewing audit files and financial statements
• Identifying audit risks and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact throughout engagements
• Supervising, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members
• Assisting managers and partners with client advisory work
• Supporting the continued development of the audit department

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong audit experience, including leading fieldwork assignments
• ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
• Sound knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• A proactive and professional approach to work
