Internal Management Systems, Business Operations Coordinator - ISO9001

Salary: £36,000–£40,000 per annum

Location: Remote with some travel to branches within network

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an established distribution company who are seeking an experienced IMS, Business Operations Coordinator.

This is an interesting, varied, hands-on role involving ISO 9001 internal auditing, site inspections and business process improvement across multiple company locations.

Working closely with management and operational teams, you will help ensure business procedures, supplier standards and internal management systems are consistently maintained.

Previous hands-on experience conducting ISO 9001 internal audits is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct ISO 9001 internal audits and operational site inspections.

Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System and internal procedures.

Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Review business processes and support continuous improvement.

Work with purchasing teams on supplier compliance and approval procedures.

Support health and safety compliance, including risk assessments and COSHH.

Assist with external audits and maintain accurate compliance documentation.

Travel to company locations (approximately every 4-6 weeks) with all expenses covered.

About You

Proven experience personally conducting ISO 9001 internal audits – essential.

Experience with business management systems, operational procedures

Confident working with management teams across different departments.

Strong organisational, communication and reporting skills.

Experience within distribution, wholesale, engineering supplies or multi-site operations would be advantageous, as would knowledge of ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.
