Mechanical Pipefitter
Location: Lincolnshire
Contract: 3 months initially
IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and assembly of small-bore PVC pipework, typically 15-50mm diameter.
• Reading and working from mechanical drawings, pipework layouts and isometric drawings.
• Measuring, cutting and preparing PVC pipework for installation.
• Installing bends, tees, valves, couplings and associated fittings.
• Solvent welding/jointing PVC pipework where required.
• Installing pipework supports, brackets and fixings.
• Surface mounting pipework to walls, frames and plant structures.
• Carrying out modifications and alterations to existing pipework systems.
• Supporting pressure/leak testing and rectification of installation issues.
• Working alongside mechanical, electrical and commissioning teams.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Pipefitter, Pipe Installer or similar mechanical role.
• Proven experience working with PVC/plastic pipework, ideally small-bore systems.
• Valid EUSR card
• Valid CSCS card
• Industrial, water, wastewater or process-plant experience would be advantageous.

The role would suit a hands-on Mechanical Pipefitter with previous industrial experience, who is comfortable working with small-bore PVC pipework and holds the required EUSR and CSCS cards.
