Senior Accountant - Regional Accountancy Firm (Hybrid Working)

The Role

Barber McLelland is working in partnership with a highly successful firm of accountants based in Chesterfield who are looking to appoint Senior Accountant.

The business are looking for an experienced accountant that has gained a minimum of 5 years of accountancy practice experience with knowledge of managing their own client base of SME's.

The position is a hybrid role, offering the opportunity to work from the Chesterfield office 2-3 times/week and to work from home for the reminder of the week.

The business is also offering fully flexible working hours along with the potential for either 4 days/week or a full-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role of Senior Accountant will work within a highly experienced team and will be responsible for the following:

• Management of own client base of SME clients
• The preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations
• Preparation of VAT
• Develop skills within the very latest accounting software tools
• Support clients with general accounting issues and queries

Skills and Qualities

The successful applicant must have developed a minimum of 5 years of experience working within the accountancy profession and will be qualified AAT, ACA/ACCA. Applications would also be welcome from individuals who have decided not to pursue the formal qualifications route.

Remuneration

• £35,000 - £45,000 FTE
• 25 Days holiday plus stats
