If you're an experienced LCV Technician with a current MOT tester authorisation, looking for a new opportunity with strong earning potential, this could be worth a closer look.

We're recruiting for two LCV Technician / MOT Tester positions in Dagenham, offering a basic salary of £38,000 with a productivity-related bonus that could take total annual earnings up to £55,000, depending on performance. This figure is not guaranteed.

You'll join an established automotive environment where quality workmanship, productivity and customer satisfaction are important.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The workshop is looking for experienced LCV Technicians who can carry out MOT testing alongside servicing, maintenance and repairs, while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

The package includes:

• £38,000 basic salary
• Potential total annual earnings of up to £55,000, including productivity bonus
• Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
• One in four Saturdays, 8am–2pm
• Saturday working paid as overtime
• Training opportunities available
• Two full-time positions available

THE ROLE

• Carry out MOT tests in line with the relevant testing standards and requirements
• Service, maintain and repair light commercial vehicles
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete vehicle inspections and identify additional work where appropriate
• Follow manufacturer procedures and technical information
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Maintain accurate job cards, test records and workshop documentation
• Work towards workshop productivity targets
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, efficiency and safety

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You'll need:

• Previous experience as an LCV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Current MOT tester authorisation for the relevant vehicle class
• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing light commercial vehicles
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• A strong understanding of vehicle safety and testing standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A professional and reliable approach to work

It would be great if you also have:

• Main dealership experience
• Manufacturer training or accreditation
• Experience working towards workshop productivity targets
• Experience using commercial vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Additional relevant automotive qualifications
