As an Accounts Assistant in Southampton, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations. From processing invoices to managing account reconciliations, you'll help keep everything running smoothly within the Accounting & Finance department.

Client Details

Our client is based in Southampton, and due to a busy period and various ongoing projects, the accountancy team is looking for additional support.

Description

• Process invoices and ensure accurate data entry into financial systems.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain financial records for reporting purposes.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to address queries.
• Help monitor budgets and expenses for various projects.
• Provide general administrative support to the Accounting & Finance team.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

• A good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and colleagues.

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £30,000 to £33,000, dependent on the level of experience.
