The ONE Group are exclusively partnering with an established and successful manufacturing business based in Saffron Walden, who are looking to welcome an Assistant Accountant into their close-knit finance team on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on finance role, with exposure to both transactional accounting and month-end responsibilities. Working within a small, supportive finance team and reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your experience, take ownership of your responsibilities and continue developing your skillset.

Our client is open to considering candidates on either a full-time or part-time basis, between 25 and 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Support with transactional responsibilities as required, including Sales ledger & credit control
• Prepare VAT returns and submissions
• Post journals, accruals & prepayments
• Balance sheet & intercompany reconciliations
• Support with month-end close and financial reporting activities

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• AAT Level 3 or above
• Intermediate level of excel
