Logistics OperativeSwanwick | 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Salary: £29,725 per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a reliable and organised Logistics Operative to join a busy Facilities and Workplace team based in Swanwick.You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement, storage and distribution of goods across the site, supporting day-to-day logistics operations alongside wider workplace and facilities activities.

Your new role
As a Logistics Operative, you'll be responsible for:

• Coordinating the receipt, distribution, collection, storage and disposal of parcels, equipment and other goods.
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, collections and stored items in line with security, audit and compliance requirements.
• Safely operating logistics equipment and vehicles, including forklift trucks, pallet trucks, flatbed trucks and tail-lift vehicles, following appropriate training.
• Supporting furniture moves, workplace projects, housekeeping activities and other operational requirements.
• Providing a professional and helpful service to colleagues, customers, suppliers and service providers.
• Working across Swanwick and Hedge End when required.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll ideally have previous experience within logistics, distribution, facilities management, workplace services or a similar operational environment.You'll also need:

• A full, clean UK driving licence.
• The ability to obtain and maintain SC Security Clearance.
• A good understanding of health and safety, safe working practices and manual handling.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A proactive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• The ability to work effectively within a team while taking responsibility for your own workload.
• A forklift truck licence, material handling qualification or experience with inventory and asset management would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
