Chemistry Teacher | East Birmingham
£170-£220 per day | November 2026 Starts | Flexible & Long-Term Opportunities
Are you a qualified Chemistry Teacher looking for a fresh opportunity after October half-term?
Aspire People is recruiting Chemistry specialists for secondary schools across East Birmingham, with teaching opportunities available from Monday 2 November and throughout the remainder of the academic year.
We're particularly keen to hear from teachers based around Small Heath, Bordesley Green, Yardley, Stechford, Washwood Heath and surrounding areas who are interested in securing teaching work closer to home.
Whether you're an experienced Chemistry Teacher looking for a change or an ECT ready to build your classroom experience, we can discuss opportunities suited to your availability and career goals.
WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE?
We recruit for daily supply, short-term cover, regular weekly bookings and long-term Chemistry teaching assignments, alongside potential permanent opportunities.
Depending on the assignment, you could be delivering general Science across KS3, GCSE Chemistry and Combined Science at KS4, or specialist Chemistry at A Level.
Long-term roles may involve lesson planning, marking, assessment, practical investigations and preparing pupils for their GCSE and A Level examinations.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You will need QTS or QTLS, strong Chemistry subject knowledge and the confidence to deliver engaging lessons in a secondary school environment.
We're particularly interested in teachers who can explain scientific concepts clearly, support pupils of different abilities and maintain positive classroom routines.
Good behaviour management, adaptability and a professional approach are essential.
We welcome applications from both experienced Chemistry Teachers and Early Career Teachers.
WHY WORK WITH ASPIRE PEOPLE?
We offer competitive daily rates of £170-£220, weekly pay and access to secondary schools throughout East Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
We understand that every teacher has different priorities, whether that's finding a shorter commute, maintaining flexibility or securing a consistent long-term teaching position.
Our secondary recruitment team will work with you to identify assignments that suit your preferred locations, availability and subject specialism.
