Sales Assistant

Join our client as a Sales Assistant in the Flooring Department. This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, organised, and possesses excellent communication skills. You will be instrumental in supporting day-to-day sales administration and customer service activities, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide administrative and sales support to the Flooring Team.
• Respond professionally and efficiently to incoming telephone calls and emails.
• Liaise with customers and assist with enquiries in a timely manner.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with preparing estimates and quotations.
• Maintain accurate filing systems for both electronic and paper-based documentation.
• Prepare, print, copy, and distribute documents as required.
• Ensure all customer and sales data is entered accurately onto company systems.
• Carry out general office and administrative duties as required.
• Manage workload effectively, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships across all departments.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company and customer information.
• Promote a professional image of both yourself and the company at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an administrative, customer service, or sales support role.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.
• Professional and customer-focused manner.
• Experience preparing quotations or estimates is desirable.
• Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or flooring-related environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with CRM or order processing systems is beneficial.
