An established provider. A successful first home. An exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager.

YourRecruit is recruiting for a Registered Manager in Basingstoke to lead a new solo children's residential home, offering a competitive salary of £55,000 to £65,000.

This is the provider's second children's home. Their first home is already established, stable and successfully caring for two young people.

These are experienced providers who understand the realities of running children's residential homes. They recognise the importance of strong leadership, appropriate resources, a supportive working environment and giving their Registered Manager the backing needed to succeed.

They are now seeking a committed Children's Residential Registered Manager to develop their second home, build a strong team and establish the same high standards of care.

This is an opportunity for a Registered Manager who wants to make a genuine difference, working alongside providers who understand what it takes to run a successful home.

Registered Manager – Key Responsibilities

As the Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership, operational management and quality of care within the solo children's home.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and developing a committed residential care team.
• Creating a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment.
• Ensuring compliance with Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Overseeing safeguarding, care planning, risk assessments and placement decisions.
• Recruiting, supervising and supporting residential childcare staff.
• Preparing for Ofsted registration and inspections.
• Managing budgets, staffing and daily operational requirements.
• Working closely with the Responsible Individual and providers to maintain excellent standards.

Registered Manager – Experience Required

We welcome applications from established Registered Managers and experienced Deputy Managers ready to progress into their first Registered Manager position.

The successful Registered Manager candidate will ideally have:

• Significant management experience within children's residential care.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or working towards completion.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding and relevant legislation.
• Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people.

Experience opening or developing children's residential homes would be advantageous.
