Exciting Reception Teacher Opportunity in Southwark!

SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a welcoming, Ofsted-rated 'Good' primary school in Southwark to recruit a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position starting in November 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced primary teacher to join a supportive, two-form entry school with a collaborative team and a strong commitment to providing children with an engaging and stimulating start to their education.

The Role

• Teach a Reception class, delivering a creative, engaging and inclusive Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that support children's learning, development and school readiness.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported and encouraged to thrive.
• Assess and monitor children's progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has previous experience teaching within Reception or the EYFS.
• Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Is passionate about delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and strong communication skills.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Please note: Early Career Teachers (ECTs) cannot be considered for this position.
