Multi-Skilled Tradesperson / Handyman

• Salary: £42,000 – £50,000, depending on experience and skill level
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 plus overtime opportunities when available
• Full UK driving licence required
• Permanent Position

Our client is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Tradesperson / Handyman to join their team, working on a range of high-end residential refurbishments, extensions and renovations across Southwest London.

This is a great opportunity for a genuine all-rounder with a strong trade background who takes pride in their work and enjoys variety. The projects are predominantly private homes, so quality, attention to detail and professionalism are extremely important.

The Role

Working closely with the project managers and site teams, you’ll be the person they can rely on to take care of everything from full-range carpentry and kitchen fitting through to finishing, snagging and general building works.

You’ll be confident working across a broad range of tasks, including:

• Carrying out full-range first and second-fix carpentry and joinery, including door hanging, architraves, skirting, ironmongery, studwork, framing and general timber work.
• Completing bespoke and finishing carpentry, general cabinetry, fitting, small-scale joinery and repairs.
• Fitting and installing kitchens, including units, worktops, doors and all associated finishing.
• Undertaking minor plumbing and, where appropriately qualified, minor electrical works.
• Completing plasterboarding, patching, minor plastering, decorating and paint touch-ups.
• Handling general finishing, making-good, fitting fixtures and fittings, snagging and remedial works.
• Carrying out general building and maintenance tasks while supporting the wider site team wherever required.

No two days will necessarily be the same, and our client is looking for someone who is practical, proactive and able to get on with a job without constant supervision.

About You

You’ll ideally have 5+ years’ experience in the construction, refurbishment or building industry, with a strong carpentry or trade background and proven ability across a range of disciplines.

Our client is looking for someone who:

• Is a genuine multi-skilled all-rounder who can confidently complete carpentry and joinery work from start to finish.
• Has experience in kitchen fitting and delivering high-quality residential finishing.
• Takes real pride in their workmanship and demonstrates excellent attention to detail.
• Can work independently, use their initiative and is reliable, organised and proactive.
• Is comfortable working in high-end private homes and presents themselves professionally around clients.
• Works well with project managers and other trades, with a good understanding of health and safety.
• Has their own tools
• Holds a full, clean UK driving licence

Relevant trade qualifications are an advantage.
