People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Oldham.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £16.50 per hour, four working days out of six, early morning starts, weekly pay, ongoing work and full training with an established logistics company.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid HGV Driver or Class 2 Trunking Driver.

NEWLY QUALIFIED HGV CLASS 2 DRIVERS WELCOME – NO PREVIOUS CLASS 2 EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Shifts

• Four working days out of six, Sunday to Friday
• AM start times between 03:00 and 06:00
• Ongoing work available

Rates of Pay

• £16.50 per hour
• Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing drop-and-swap deliveries
• Securing loads using straps where required
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Reporting customer concerns promptly to management
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues
• Complying with drivers' hours, tachograph and road transport regulations

Essential Skills

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• Newly qualified drivers welcome

• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
