Assistant Accountant

Reed Accountancy are currently working with a close client of ours who are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on an interim basis. The successful candidate will support financial management and analysis, covering the below duties.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Manage annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide financial partnering and stakeholder support
• Monitor financial performance and budget adherence
• Produce management accounts and variance analysis
• Support year-end accounts and external audits
• Analyse trends, risks, and financial opportunities
• Deliver insightful reporting for decision-making
• Prepare and review external financial submissions
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and procedures
• Identify and implement process improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a similar accounting role
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Great attention to detail
