Role - Quality Assurance Auditor Location - County Durham Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 We're delighted to be supporting a long-standing client of ours, a well-respected food manufacturer, with the appointment of a Quality Assurance Auditor to join their technical team. This is a lovely opportunity to join a business that values its people and takes real pride in the quality of its products. You'll report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and work closely with teams across the site. The role As Quality Assurance Auditor, you'll make sure that every product leaving site meets the high standards customers expect. Your day-to-day will include: -Carrying out daily quality and product checks so that products comply with customer standards -Conducting internal audits and GMP audits across site -Supporting the technical team during external audits -Maintaining accurate, up-to-date quality records -Running taste panels -Investigating customer complaints and helping to put corrective actions in place -Updating and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) -Coaching and supporting other departments so that quality standards are understood and upheld across the whole site Requirements: -Proven experience in a similar QA Auditor or Quality role within food manufacturing (essential) -A strong understanding of BRC and retailer standards -Strong HACCP knowledge -Strong audit knowledge and experience -Confidence in coaching and supporting colleagues, with a friendly and approachable manner -A keen eye for detail and a real passion for quality As you know over here at Zest we like to do things properly and always want to keep you, the candidate in the loop.
