Freelance Site Manager Required in Colchester GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor to join them on a project at the Barracks, and upon the MoD project being completed, move onto projects within a sensible commute of Colchester. Given the nature of the project, a BPSS clearance is mandatory which required 3 years employment accounted for. The assignment is ongoing and could very likely lead to a permanent position. The Site Manager must have/be: * Experience working on MoD projects is advantageous * Strong background working for a main contractor * Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Site Management * Ability to oversee day-today operations and subcontractors * Strong health & safety awareness * Excellent communication and leadership skills * SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid * BPSS Clearance Key Responsibilities of the Site Manager: * Monitor and manage all works to ensure quality of workmanship is of the highest standard * Work alongside the commercial team to ensure the project is delivered successfully * Management, control and mitigation of all risks relating to site activities * Maintain accurate and timely project documentation * Manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities * Maintain strong relationships with the client and consultant team * Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld at all times * Deliver the project to programme and quality expectations If you are interested in the Site Manager position above, then please get in touch
