Van Driver – Swindon, Wiltshire – £12.71 Per Hour

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Van Drivers to join our well-established client based in Swindon, Wiltshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £12.71 per hour, Monday-to-Friday working, weekly pay, immediate starts, ongoing work and full training. The role involves collecting and delivering industrial mats to businesses and commercial premises throughout Wiltshire.

£12.71 Per Hour | Monday to Friday | £13.50 Saturday Rate | Weekly Pay | Immediate Starts | Full Training

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Courier Driver or Collection and Delivery Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 06:00 and 08:00
• Approximate finish time of 16:00

Rates of Pay

• Monday to Friday: £12.71 per hour
• Saturday: £13.50 per hour
• Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Driving vans safely and efficiently to delivery locations
• Following planned delivery routes to businesses, offices, hospitals and warehouses
• Collecting and delivering industrial mats for cleaning throughout Wiltshire
• Following road traffic legislation and company procedures
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues to management
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required
• Completing delivery paperwork and documentation accurately

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Van Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category B Driving Licence
• Minimum of 12 months' driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major driving endorsement codes
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• Good understanding of road traffic legislation
• Strong communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial driving experience
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided

• Driver assessment required before starting
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
