Main Duties: To drive equipment sales, business development and profitability within the food and beverage sector, managing the full sales cycle and developing long-term customer relationships across UK and international markets. The Role: - Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue, market share and profitability. - Manage the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities and preparing proposals to negotiating terms and closing deals. - Take ownership of commercial performance and develop growth strategies for the assigned market. - Identify and negotiate commercial opportunities involving food and beverage processing, manufacturing and packaging equipment. - Build relationships with manufacturers, equipment buyers, dealers and industry partners to generate new business. - Develop sales opportunities across processing, mixing, filling, bottling, canning, packaging and material handling equipment. - Evaluate equipment specifications, condition and market value to support commercial negotiations. - Develop existing accounts, generate repeat business and identify opportunities for additional equipment and service sales. - Build relationships with plant managers, operations directors, engineering teams, procurement professionals and senior decision-makers. - Collaborate with internal account management and operational teams to maximise opportunities and coordinate transactions. - Develop international sales channels and relationships with overseas customers and commercial partners. - Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements to achieve profitable outcomes. - Monitor market trends, customer demand and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities. - Travel domestically and internationally for customer meetings, site visits and industry events. The Candidate: - Senior experience in equipment sales, technical sales or business development, ideally within food and beverage manufacturing, processing or packaging. - Strong knowledge of food and beverage processing and packaging equipment. - Proven track record in B2B sales, new business development, commercial negotiations and revenue growth. - Established network of manufacturers, equipment buyers, dealers or relevant industry contacts. - Experience working with industrial equipment manufacturers, OEMs, specialist suppliers or distributors. - Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to assess equipment value and negotiate profitable transactions. - Ability to interpret technical specifications, equipment documentation and engineering drawings. - Experience managing sales targets, revenue and commercial performance. - International sales experience would be advantageous. - Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills. - Self-motivated, commercially driven and comfortable working independently in a home-based role. - Willingness to travel approximately 40% domestically and internationally.
