Credit Controller

Location: Bolton
Salary: £28,000-£30,000
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time
Working Pattern: Hybrid

The Role

We are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a well-established, growing business operating across multiple international markets. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced finance team within a successful organisation that values employee development and continuous improvement.

You will manage customer accounts, chase outstanding payments, minimise overdue debt and build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts and proactively chase outstanding debt.
• Maintain accurate records of payment promises and customer communications.
• Resolve payment queries and escalate issues where necessary.
• Monitor credit limits and support new customer account setups.
• Work with internal teams to improve cash collection and reduce overdue balances.

About You

• Previous experience in Credit Control is essential.
• Experience managing customer accounts and chasing outstanding debt.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Proactive, motivated and able to manage your own workload.
